Research Profile

I am interested in studying networks of humans and computing devices.
In my dissertation I explored the interplay between distributed system behavior and group behavior. I studied quality of experience provision in the next generation of distributed collaborative systems. In such systems group members are located across the globe. They generate the application content and interact using multiplicity of devices and communication links (e.g., collaboration using cloud-based services). I explored the relationship between content-related properties and cooperation dynamics using model from social sciences (Social Traps). My research methodology aimed at understanding the dynamics of cooperation in a well-designed controlled situation. The understanding was then used to derive design guidelines for quality of experience provision.
