Research Profile
I am a PHD candidate at UCI working with Prof. Sharad Mehrotra. I am graduating in March 2010 and looking for a postdoctoral/tenure track position in Web/Text mining.
During my PhD I worked on entity resolution, and web people search problems. These two projects are closely related since the aim is to cluster references (or web pages) such that all the references referring to the same entity (one namesake in Web People Search task) are grouped together. We proposed different techniques for these problem which are published in SIGIR, ICDE, TKDE, and DASFAA.
During my MSc studies I studied how to measure the qualities of Web Search Engines automatically. Our proposed approaches highly correlates with the human relevance judgment(published in Information Processing and management Journal and SIGIR).
