Research Profile
I am graduating from Binghamton University in December, 2009. My dissertation centered around microparallel optimization for XML parsers on large data sets. My research interests lie in developing software in partnership with application scientists that enables new scientific breakthroughs while also leading to results publishable in conferences such as SuperComputing, at which I have been a student volunteer for the past 4 years.
While I’m interested in a broad range of topics, I have recently been working on commercial Cloud Computing prototypes and would be interested in bringing scalable, user oriented, virtualization-based data center automation to the academic community.
My resume and CV are linked from my University home page: http://www.cs.binghamton.edu/~mike
I maintain an up to date LinkedIn profile as well: http://www.linkedin.com/in/suppressingfire
