A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Security, Networking, and Distributed Systems at the Software Systems Laboratory, Computer Science and Engineering Department, University of Michigan. Under the supervision of Professor Farnam Jahanian, the post doctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of new and existing Security, Networking, and Distributed Systems related research topics including (but not limited to): enterprise networking and availability, mobile device security, in cloud services, malware collection, behavioral extraction, and classification, botnet detection and mitigation, complex risk analysis, and context aware network services. As a post doctoral researcher, you will be expected to perform basic and applied research, organize and present the results obtained, provide technical guidance on projects for both students and staff, and assist in writing new research proposals. Duration: The initial appointment is for one year, and the renewal of the appointment in the following years is contingent upon excellent performance and the availability of funds.
Eligibility: The candidate should have received (or should anticipate receiving shortly) a doctoral degree computer science.
