Job Details:
We are looking for 1-2 post-doctoral scientists to participate in research in one or more of the following areas:
– transcriptome analysis using RNA-Seq data from next-generation sequencing experiments
– computational gene finding, with particular emphasis on eukaryotic genomes
– genome assembly tools and algorithms that address the requirements of novel DNA sequencing technologies
– human microbiome studies, focusing on methods for analysis of large-scale sequencing studies of metagenomic samples.
A Ph.D. in computer science, bioinformatics, or closely related discipline is preferred. Applicants with Ph.D. training in genomics or related fields and with strong programming skills will also be considered.
