About Tim Havens

TIMOTHY C. HAVENS is a Computing Innovation Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. He received an M.S. in electrical engineering from Michigan Tech University in 2000 and a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Missouri in 2010. Prior to his Ph.D. work, he was employed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he specialized in the simulation and modeling of directed energy and global positioning systems. He received a best paper award from the Midwest Nursing Research Society (2009). He is a senior member of the IEEE and an accomplished jazz bassist.
