Research Interests:
In general, I’m interested in applying information and computer technologies in solving real-world transportation problems and improving safety, mobility, fuel efficiency, and environmental benefits of various transportation modes. In particular, I’m interested in investigating potential applications of vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) communications. I’ve been studying theoretically and with simulations the interactions between transportation systems and communication systems. These efforts are in accordance with the US Department of Transportation’s general agenda in promoting IntelliDrive. Currently we’re studying green driving strategies based on inter-vehicle communications.
