My research focuses on computational models of language understanding and language learning in multilingual settings. Research topics of interest:

-multilingual grammar induction using rich grammar formalisms which combine syntax and semantics,
- context modeling for language understanding
- ontology learning
- terminology acquisition for consumer health systems
- automatic acquisition of conceptual maps for scientific literacy assessment
- informational and conversational language in wikipedia and blogs
