Research Interests:

My research interests lie in quantum computation and in quantum information, i.e., in quantum information science (QIS). I have published extensively in this field, including three books, with a fourth to appear this summer. I have written papers on such research topics as for example, quantum algorithms, quantum entanglement, quantum cryptography, quantum knots. I am especially interested in interdisciplinary research at the interface between QIS, mathematics, and physics. For more information, please refer to my webpage: www.csee.umbc.edu/~lomonaco
