Research Interests:

My research interests center around various data mining activities. In the past I have examined Web Usage Mining and association rules. My lab is currently looking at techniques to apply temporal information to clustering of stream data. To this end, we have developed a dynamic modeling tool, Extensible Markov Mode (EMM). We are currently looking at applications of EMM in the bioinformatics area by modeling RNA sequences creating a type of Profile EMM. Our initial applications are in the area of classification of organisms.
