Broad Research Area: Networks / Operating Systems

Research Interests:

The broad theme of my research can be summarized as: “Dealing with network change amidst the inherent operational complexity of modern networks”. Previous and ongoing projects approached this from different perspectives including: specific new network services (e.g., cloud networking), structured approach to network management and operations (e.g., following a declarative language approach to network management), using network virtualization to enable new network management primitives (e.g., router migration and grafting) etc.

Projects at AT&T Labs – Research benefit from interaction with real world network operations as well as data from several large operational networks and services. We also operate and control a small slicable operational testbed that is “embedded” in the AT&T network and forms the platform for much of our experimental work.
