Broad Research Area: Information Assurance / Security / Privacy / Cryptography, Mobile / Ubiquitous / Embedded Computing, Networks / Operating Systems

Research Interests:

My current research focuses on the following three main areas:
1. QoS-sensitive wireless networks: sensing and adaptation in cognitive radio networks, mesh networks, and sensor networks.
2. Deeply embedded and/or cyber-physical systems: co-design of cyber and physical systems with mutually understandable abstractions, resource usage monitoring and management for timelienss and other QoS requirements
3. Security and privacy in computing and networking systems: detection and removal of bots, protection of application privacy/secrecy in untrusted environments, self-securing handsets.
4. Resource management and QoS adaptation in large-scale virtualizaed data centers
