Posted on: Sunday, May 24th, 2009
Broad Research Area: Numerical/Scientific Computing / HPC / Data-Intensive Scalable Computing

Research Interests:

My research is broadly in the area of numerical linear algebra and computational inverse problems, with a focus on solving large scale problems that arise in imaging applications. My research group currently has collaborations with researchers in radiology on several projects, including tomosynthesis for breast imaging, and correcting for motion artifacts in positron emission tomography. Other projects include applications in biomolecular and astronomical imaging. Our contributions to these projects involve development of algorithms and software, mainly using techniques from numerical linear algebra and numerical optimization.
