Research Interests:

My research interests include theory and applications in the broad areas of data analysis, machine learning, information retrieval, signal processing, and system identification.

Currently, I’m working on…

* Development of theory and numerical algorithms for represenatation and analysis of high-dimensional data using randomization and diffusion techniques. This is a collaboration with a U.S. university.

* Development of network analysis algorithms/tools – including event detection and fault localization for real-world networks. We are investigating new models for cognitive computing for network management.

* Developement of theory and algorithms for information retrieval, filtering and classification for large document collections. This also includes cross-language retrieval.
One of the popular techniques for text IR – Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) was invented here. URL: http://lsi.research.telcordia.com
