Keywords: Internet measurement and analysis, network management & operation research, online social networks

Posted on: Friday, May 21st, 2010
Broad Research Area: Networks / Operating Systems, Social Computing / Social Informatics

Research Interests:

I work in the general area of computer networks, distributed systems, and wireless/mobile computing. My research group explores novel network architectures, protocols, and algorithms that ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of large-scale computer networks and enable new, flexible network services. Our approach is often driven by real network and traffic measurements and analysis.

My current interests include:
1. Programmable measurement primitives and architecture that can support real-time traffic analysis and classifications for wide range of applications (e.g, billing, security, traffic engineering, etc.)

2. Measurement-based characterization of online social networks (OSNs) & applications and their implications on network design

3. Provisioning for cloud services
