Posted on: Monday, May 18th, 2009
Broad Research Area: Graphics / Visualization, Hardware / Architecture

Research Interests:

Forward-looking real-time visibility, rendering, and approximate global illumination algorithms, including but not limited to those based on ray tracing. Integration of rendering with collision detection and other forms of physical simulation. Fully programmable graphics architectures. Specialized languages and other programmable interfaces for graphics systems. My work often has a strong system-building component, and I try to do work that is likely to have an impact on future mainstream graphics systems. I lead a research group at Intel; other senior members of the group could also serve as mentors.
